I'm John. People call me Ripley. I'm confident in who I am. I'm passionate about what I believe, though realistic enough to realize I'm often wrong. I care deeply about relationships, and yet I feel like I'm terrible at maintaining them. I am a very analytical person. I value intelligence and "depth" in people. I consider myself to be a genuine, honest, and open person. I'm usually pretty balanced these days between being downright silly and being sullen, serious, pensive, and the like.

It's extremely important to me that I not waste this temporary life on earth, nor take for granted God's amazing gift of eternal life. Life passes by so quickly, and we must seize the day! One of my greatest needs AND desires in this life is humility - pure, genuine, deep humility - that with a greater understanding of it I may fear God, serve eagerly, and lay down my own life, passionately and adamantly denying the things that this world has to offer in order to embrace and accept a life of hardship and servanthood for Christ's sake.

More than anything, I strive to be completely and utterly genuine and real. When I find out how, I'll be sure to post a blog entry on the subject!
